At Fairfax Cycling Camp, we love biking and being in nature. We strive to share this love with your child in a context of safety, fun and support. This year, in week 2, we will be running a girls only group within our regular camp (read why here), though we always have boys and girls in each week of camp. Two adult ride leaders, and up to 5 counselors staff each camp. Mitch, JJ and Matt are educators, widely known for their abilities to connect with diverse types of children in a calm, kind and playful way. Our counselors are all local bike racers, who have completed our Mentorship Training Program. Read more about our crew here, and our Mentorship Training Program here.

Riders aged 8 & up gather in the morning for a fun day on wheels, covering 8-16 miles, while learning safety, skills, & maintenance. Your child will connect with new friends and gain lasting relationships with older mentors in our thoughtful program which includes team building and cooperative games. We celebrate our achievements, end each day with social ice cream hour and on Fridays, finish our week at College of Marin’s pool. Our highly experienced and qualified staff help us to maintain a ratio of at least 5:1, ensuring that we are able to meet each campers’ needs safely.

Our campers have a wide age and ability range, from beginners to riders who are highly skilled and fit enough to ride challenging single track. We take care to ensure that your child is in the right group! Our day is arranged to include a balance of time together as a large group, with smaller ride groups based on the ability of the camper.

Check out our blog post on choosing the right bike for your child, and our equipment requirements for participating in (and enjoying) camp. We want all of our campers to gain confidence and have fun, and we have noticed that the kids who have the best time, always have the right kind of gear.  Feel free to reach out with any concerns or questions you might have:
