My child is new to mountain biking. Will they be able to do the camp? . . .
We divide our campers into three groups - beginner, intermediate and advanced. Campers need to be competent and confident bicyclists, but do not need tons of experience off-road. The more you ride with them before camp, the more fun they'll have. You'll be amazed by the skill and confidence they gain from a week of camp!
My child is an advanced rider, will they get their needs met? . . .
We divide into three groups, including an advanced group. We take care to pair these kids with a leader who can get them on the trails they seek. Our skills building activities are also great for any and all rider. We all have things we can constantly work on!
My child is 13, but doesn't ride much. Will there be other kids their age? . . .
We almost always have a group of older riders. These kids often gravitate toward each other and make friends. We aim to keep all kids engaged and feeling included in the group. We also have Counselors-in-Training who are often young teens and who can hang out with our older riders, helping to build connections and confidence.
What is your staff to camper ratio? . . .
We pride ourselves on our eye for safety. We always have a ratio of at least 5:1.
Do you provide scholarships? . . .
We provide a limited number of scholarships on a case by case basis. Please email us to ask and tell us about your situation. We are a family-owned business which values community. We have proudly donated to several local schools.
When does the day begin and end? . . .
The day begins and 9 and ends at 3, with early drop off beginning at 8:30.
Where do we meet? . . .
We meet at Bolinas Park in Fairfax, which is on the corner of Bolinas and Elsie Streets in Fairfax.
What is your cancellation policy? . . .
We are not offering refunds if you cancel within two weeks of your session start date. If you cancel prior to two weeks of your session start date, and we can find a replacement participant, we will refund your payment minus a $100 administrative fee. If public health officials order us closed, we will offer (pro-rated) full refunds.
In the event of extreme weather, fires or the like, the lands we use may be closed. In such cases, we will do our best to accommodate families' needs, but camp may be modified or cancelled, and we are not able to promise a full refund under such conditions. We try to be reasonable.
